Rev. Joshua A. Thomas, Sr.
Rev. Joshua A. Thomas, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of St. John Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. A visionary leader, dynamic teacher, and compassionate shepherd, Rev. Thomas is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, engaging worship, and empowering the community. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, he and his wife, Candice, along with their three children—Ava, Joshua Jr., and Chandler—joined St. John in 2023, bringing fresh energy and a forward-thinking ministry mindset.
Rev. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University (2010) and a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary (2014). He is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, reflecting his lifelong commitment to leadership, achievement, and service.
In addition to his pastoral work, Rev. Thomas is a successful business owner, blending his entrepreneurial skills with his passion for creative solutions and community impact. He is known for his innovative approach to ministry, spearheading initiatives like the NextGen Ministry and community outreach programs, while inspiring others to take bold steps of faith.

Thomas combines his love for technology with his forward-thinking vision, ensuring that St. John continues to thrive in both physical and digital spaces.
